ALTOR Emergency Medical Services is a proudly South African, owner managed company, with more than 20 years combined experience in Event Medical Support, Medical Risk Management as well as Emergency Medical Care.
Guided by the SANS matrix and the Safety at Sports and Recreational Events Act, we are able to ensure the correct medical deployment for each and every event.
With a network of over 100 medical professionals and practitioners, Health and Safety Officers as well as business professionals, we can fully appreciate every aspect of the client’s needs and offer the professional expertise demanded to ensure that we mitigate risk on behalf of our clients.
ALTOR Emergency Medical Services provides a variety of medical staff ranging from Basic Life Support to Advanced Life Support services as well as speciality services including On Site Doctors and Physiotherapist’s. We accommodate a diverse number of events including, but not limited to, music festivals, sporting events, markets, motor-sports, conferences and concerts, to name a few.
We pride ourselves on our hands-on approach, which allows us crucial insights into all aspects of the client’s key deliverables, budget and service delivery. This allows us to build a tailor-made solution to fit the client’s requirements.

Nicola Broodryk
Director
Nicola is a BComm Marketing Management graduate (University of Johannesburg, 2009) and an Intermediate Life Support medic (Netcare, 2011) with 5 years of operational medical experience, and 7 years of marketing experience in the industry. As a loving mother to two beautiful children, and an animal lover, Nicola exercises compassion in all she does. Like her husband Wayne, Nicola is an outdoor enthusiast shown in her love for gardening, traveling – but nothing beats some down time with a good book! With a keen interest in expanding her knowledge-base and a profound love for working with people, Nicola is perfectly equipped to be ALTOR’s front of house and business manager, just two of the many hats that she wears on a daily basis.
Wayne Broodryk
COO
Wayne is a multi-talented and highly qualified Advanced Life Support medic (Netcare, 2004); Urban Search and Rescue Technician (University of Johannesburg, 2017); a NEBOSH Health and Safety Officer, SAPS Reservist (2001) and ex-member of the JHB Flying Squad. With 23 years of operational EMS experience and 10 years of Event Medical experience, Wayne was finalist in the Centrum Guardian Project, “Brave” category for saving a man trapped in a burning vehicle. A humble and proud Dad, Wayne enjoys times with his kids and nurtures a passion for the outdoors through time spent on the family farm. ALTOR is and continues to be Wayne’s greatest career investment, where he can apply his extensive knowledge and experience in the emergency services field with his entrepreneurial spirit and business drive.
Brandon Botha
General Manager
Brandon started his career in the EMS over 25 years ago and has been a qualified ALS practitioner for the last 19 years. He also has extensive experience in the occupational health and safety arena and worked in a dual role for a few years. He has held numerous management positions during his career, leaving a legacy and healthy team dynamic wherever he has been. Brandon also has a passion for aviation medicine, specifically in the helicopter emergency medical services (HEMS). He worked full-time as the Chief Flight Paramedic for one of South Africa’s leading aeromedical providers for a period of six years and is still involved in HEMS work today. Brandon is an advocate for patient safety, positive patient outcomes, education, and leadership in the field which prompted him to complete a Post Graduate Diploma in Emergency Care through the University of Cape Town in 2022. He also holds instructor status for several internationally recognised qualifications and is still actively involved in the education of other medical professionals. Brandon enjoys spending time with his wife Bonny and their fur children, he also has a great passion for the outdoors and unwinds best beyond the end of the tarred road.
Ronald Motanyane
Operations Coordinator
I completed my Basic Ambulance Assistance course in 2009 and Fire Fighter training in 2016 at Rescue Life Africa, and worked for City of Johannesburg as a fire fighter reservist from 2017 to 2019. As a family-oriented father of one son, I would describe myself as an ambitious hard worker who leads by inspiring other. The best part of working for ALTOR EMS is that I am able to use my skills and experience to provide our clients with excellent service.
Bonny Venter
Office Coordinator
As a Health and Beauty Professional with ITEC and CIDESCO International Diplomas I started my career abroad managing health and beauty enterprises. On returning home I gained experience in the office environment in various administrative management roles. I contribute reliability, punctuality and kindness to any position I take, and believe my ability for problem solving and hard work help to face any challenge. As the mother to two beautiful children, I understand the importance of family and am blessed to be part of the phenomenal ALTOR family who has taught me so much.
